COVID-19-Government-Departments-Special-Work-Arrangement

Due to COVID-19, the Hong Kong Government Departments adopt limited counter service starting from 2nd December 2020. Your documentation under the progress at the government departments may be hindered. 

 

Inland Revenue Department

In order to reduce the flow of people and social contact to stop the spread of the virus in the community, the Inland Revenue Department the department will only provide the following essential public services starting from from 2 December 2020,:

 

 

Central Enquiry Counter, Business Registration Office, Stamp Office

From 9am to noon;  1.30pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday
(only for enquiries relating to tax clearance for taxpayers leaving Hong Kong)

 

 

Post Office

All post offices will maintain their normal opening hours from Monday to Friday but advance their closing hours to 4pm, while their business hours on Saturdays will remain normal (General Post Office and Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office will advance their closing hours to 4pm on Saturdays). General Post Office will close on Sundays. Mobile post offices will be suspended from service;

- Mail collection from posting boxes and mail delivery service (including that for Speedpost items) will remain normal. For buildings with COVID-19 confirmed cases within the past 14 days, Hongkong Post will maintain the service of mail delivery to the letter boxes in the lobbies for three times a week, yet door delivery service will remain suspended until the building concerned is removed from the list of buildings with confirmed cases within the past 14 days.

- Bulk Acceptance Counter at Central Mail Centre will maintain normal service

Company Registry

 

In view of the latest epidemic situation and the special work arrangements for government employees, the Companies Registry will provide limited public services with effect from 2 December until further notice.  The Registry will provide limited counter services every working day for receiving documents delivered in hard copy and collection of certificates for company incorporations.  The Public Search Centre will be opened on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
